Additional Info

Mind Over Matcha delivers focused mental clarity and calm energy with a balanced blend of slow-release caffeine and L-Theanine. In combination Mind of Matcha supports sustained alertness without jitters, promoting concentration and calm productivity throughout the day.

Easy to prepare – Quicker and easier than traditional matcha - no need to whisk a paste. Simply stir or froth directly into your milk for a smooth, delicious cup of matcha.

Head Start - The perfect tea for any tired tea-lover or new mum. A delicate blend of white peony tea and whole rosebuds.

White tea is high in both caffeine and theanine. Whilst the caffeine level in a cup of Head Start is higher than a normal builder's brew, the theanine gives it a slow release effect for a long, gentle boost.

As well as being higher in caffeine than black tea, White Peony white tea has also been shown to be high in anti-oxidants.

Get Up & Glow - When you need a boost but caffeine is off the menu, this zingy fruit tea helps you get up & glow. Bursting with tropical flavours, it will have you energised and glowing in no time.

We only use whole leaf, natural ingredients to ensure that you get the full flavour and goodness of the fruits and flowers.

Get Up & Glow

How is this a good alternative to caffeine?

Like the fresh fruits that they’re made from, the fruit in our Get Up and Glow blend have lots of health benefits. They contain a variety of minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. The grapes, hibiscus flowers and rosehip peels, all contain vitamin C which will help your immune system and help to protect you picking up colds – horrific in pregnancy.

The natural, low levels of sugar that naturally occur in the fruit infusion will also give you a pick up when you need it, without flooding your system with sugar.

It’ll have you revitalised, refreshed and ready to get up and glow whether you’re pregnant, or a hard working mum.

Is hibiscus safe in pregnancy?

The short answer is yes - the NHS has no issues with hibiscus in pregnancy, but recommends not drinking more than 3 cups a day.

Google might terrify you and say that it's dangerous.  But this is based on an animal study, where mice were given a huge quantity and had problems. This sounds scary, but bear in mind - the mice are given 1g of hibiscus per kg weight. This is the equivalent of a woman weighing 60kg eating 60g of hibiscus a day. One of our Get Up & Glow tea bags weighs 2.5g and has 10% hibiscus in (0.25g). You will only get around 60% of the polyphenols in the tea bag in an infusion, so per bag, 0.15g max is extracted. You'd therefore need to drink 400,000 cups a day to have the same dose and risk a similar effect (even if our bodies are different).

Study summary here: https://www.contraceptionjournal.org/article/0010-7824(86)90061-2/fulltext.  So providing you don’t reach this level of hibiscus in your diet, you can definitely continue to enjoy the tea.

Mind Over Matcha

Is this safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Yes! This blend was created with women’s wellbeing in mind. The caffeine level is well within safe limits for pregnancy (approx. 120mg per serving), and the ingredients are gentle, whole foods that support digestion and energy without over stimulation.

How much caffeine is in a serving?
One 10g serving contains approximately 120mg of caffeine. This makes it ideal for anyone who is caffeine-sensitive or trying to cut back.

Is this suitable for vegans?
Yes – it’s 100% plant-based, made with coconut milk, not dairy. It's also free from gluten, soy, and added refined sugar.

Does it contain any sweeteners or flavourings?
No. It’s naturally sweetened with organic date powder—nothing artificial, no added sugars or syrups.

Head Start

How much caffeine is in Head Start?

The white tea that we use as the base of this blend, means it has c. 90mg per cup. This is lower than a filter coffee which has c. 140mg per cup. But it is higher than a cup of builder's tea (75mg). It is safe to have when pregnant or breastfeeding, as NHS guidelines are that you should limit caffeine to 200mg per day. Just be aware that you shouldn't have more than 2 cups of this tea a day. And also just be aware that chocolate and soft drinks also have some caffeine in them. There's a great caffeine calculator to help you monitor caffeine intake, made by Tommy's

What is Theanine?

The white tea in this blend is very high in a compound called theanine. This is a relaxing chemical, which gives the tea a gentle slow release effect.

How can Rosebuds help post-birth?

Rosebuds have been used for millennia in the Middle East to ease menstrual cramps and pains. We believe it can therefore help relieve cramps that you may suffer from postnatally, either after a c-section or natural birth.

  • Iced Tea

  • Each of our packs has simple instructions on it, but essentially you should use 1 tea bag per person, and freshly boiled water for all except Head Start. This tea works best with 80-degree water (let your kettle sit for 5 minutes with the lid open after boiling). Brew for 3-5 minutes depending on how strong you like it.

  • hot_brew_image
  • Use 1 bag per 300ml of water (this is the average size of a water glass) Add freshly boiled water, as if you were making a normal cuppa. Place the glass, with the tea bag still in, in your fridge to cool. Enjoy once cool - add lots of ice and fruit if you're feeling fancy.
