Newborn Wonder

Newborn Wonder is the perfect tea for any tired tea-lover or new mum.

A blend of white peony tea and whole rosebuds. White tea is high in both caffeine and theanine. Whilst the caffeine level in a cup of Newborn Wonder is higher than a normal builders brew, the theanine gives it a slow release effect and a long, gentle boost.

As well as being higher in caffeine than black tea, White Peony white tea has also been shown to be high in anti-oxidants.

Rosebuds have been used for millennia to ease period cramps, and we've included them to bring a delicious aroma but also comfort, when you need it most.

Each whole leaf tea bag can make up to 3 cups of tea, depending on your personal taste. 

1. Don't use freshly boiled water! 80 degrees is best...let your kettle sit with the lid open for 5 minutes before you use it.

2. Use 1 whole leaf tea bag per 300ml cup, and brew for 3-5 minutes.

3. Take the tea bag out of your mug and keep it by the kettle to re-brew. 

We don’t recommend adding milk or sugar, but follow your cravings and personal taste!

Delicately floral – mellow white tea and fragrant rose.

White Peony has a soft, delicate flavour with notes of melon and cucumber.

Rose buds are sweet and floral.

In combination, the tea is uplifting, delicate and balanced.

NHS guidelines recommend a maximum of 3 cups of any herbal tea a day. 

How much Caffeine is in Newborn Wonder?
The white tea that we use as the base of this blend, means it has c. 90mg per cup. This is lower than a filter coffee which has c. 140mg per cup. But it is higher than a cup of builder's tea (75mg). It is safe to have when pregnant or breastfeeding, as NHS guidelines are that you should limit caffeine to 200mg per day. Just be aware that you shouldn't have more than 2 cups of this tea a day. What is Theanine?
The white tea in this blend is very high in a compound called theanine. This is a relaxing chemical, which gives the tea a slow release effect.

How can Rosebuds help post-birth?
Rosebuds have been used for millenia in the Middle East to ease menstrual cramps and pains. We believe it can therefore help release cramps that you may suffer from post-natally, either after a c-section or natural birth.
