HOW THESE HERBS CAN HOPEFULLY HELP YOUR MONTHLY CYCLE...
RASPBERRY LEAF - known as ‘the woman’s herb’, raspberry leaf tea has been used for millennia to support women’s uterine health. The leaves contain fragrine, which tones uterine muscles. This is believed to be why it can soothe menstrual cramping and regulate heavy menstrual bleeding.
GINGKO – can help balance moods and improve brain function – we’re not making it up! Some small scale studies show it can be a real help.
CHAMOMILE FLOWERS – traditionally used as a sleep aid, some studies have shown that the anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic benefits of chamomile can reduce menstrual cramping. It is also a brilliant anti-anxiety tea, and bring real calm when you need it. Plus hopefully help you get a good night’s sleep.
DANDELION ROOT – an unusual herb in our modern diet, but it was used historically to aid digestion. And small scale studies have shown it can help reduce bloating which can be a huge monthly annoyance for many women.
ROSE PETALS – rose has been used for millennia in the Middle East to reduce PMS symptoms. And a 2018 study in the International Journal of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, showed women who inhaled rose essential oil felt lesser PMS symptoms than those who didn’t.
SPEARMINT – has been shown in animal studies to balance hormones in animal studies so it can hopefully do the same for us, and moderate moods and feelings.

I have polysistic ovaries, that are getting intensely worse at the moment due to lack of movement right now and all of the various fun that goes with lockdown….pain was epic last night and I had the over the moon. I am really flabbergasted. Something in it MASSIVELY agreed with me….oh my goodness. Genius.
